Alex Townshend BSc (Hons) MBACP

I hold an Honours Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from Roehampton University and am Accredited with the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). After my study I worked for the NHS in primary care for several years.

Subsequently I joined the private sector, seeing clients for the Priory Group. I started Talking Treatment in 2014 to expand my own client base and it proved so successful, I had to invite well trained and experienced colleagues to become associates and join my growing Practice, with the aim of providing the best possible professional standards in counselling and psychotherapy for clients.

I use an Integrative approach, which includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic and Existential approaches; this facilitates a more flexible approach to the emotional/psychological problems presented, in order to give the client the best possible talking treatment for their needs. However, whatever approach is used, the treatment is underpinned by a relational / interpersonal process between client and therapist.

I treat a variety of emotional and psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, post-natal depression, addictions, eating disorders, trauma, childhood sexual abuse, loss and bereavement, and problematic family conflicts such as difficult relationships, separations and divorce.

I am covered by most insurers.

New clients are currently seen individually online, by phone or face to face from my Private Practice in between Wimbledon and Putney Commons, London SW19.

Introducing Walking Therapy to my practice, come rain or shine we take to the wilds of Wimbledon Common.

Gary Baker Dip. Couns. Dip. CBT. MBACP Accred.

Because we are all unique I believe we have different needs when looking for counselling. As an experienced and qualified integrative counsellor I can support you in whatever those needs are. The modern world is a fast moving, highly competitive environment which can be very stressful. We have learned to look after our physical well-being through exercise and diet, but very few of us take any pro-active care of our mental well-being.

My approach adopts and integrates various psychotherapeutic models strongly influenced by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Central to my way of working is the therapeutic relationship, as developing a strong and trusting relationship is fundamental if the counselling is going to work.

I am an associate counsellor for Nuffield Health and a private healthcare provider for Aviva, AXAPPP, Cigna, Prudential Health, Standard Life and Vitality. I have worked in various settings since 2011 which has included The Priory, Roehampton as a counsellor and within a counselling service in a NHS setting for a GP’s surgery in South London.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and currently see clients for individual counselling at my private practice in the Nine Elms area of Battersea.

Hillary O’Neill BA (Hons) MBACP

I am an accredited member of the BACP and hold a BA (Hons) in integrative counselling. As well as counselling I trained as a Life Coach at Coaches Training Institute (CTI) using a style of coaching which motivates an individual to reach their full potential as well as exploring ways of ensuring more balance and fulfilment in their lives.

Acknowledging that each client is different, I take an integrative approach to counselling which draws on and combines a range of therapies. I see individuals and couples.

My work includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (designed to help people recover from traumatic events in their lives), Mindfulness (which is proven in its effectiveness when dealing with anxiety, depression and stress), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, (looking at how negative thought patterns affect the way we feel and act).

I treat a range of issues including trauma, insomnia, infertility, anger problems, anxiety, depression, stress, post-natal depression, addictions and relationship issues

I am a recognised provider with Bupa, Aviva, Axa, Cigna, Vitality Health and Nuffield Health.

Thanks to my work and life experience, both in business and not-for-profit organisations I feel I can relate to clients from a range of backgrounds.

New clients are seen online or from my private practice in Bath.

Dr Benedict Hoff Ph.D, MBACP

I’m a BACP-registered counsellor/integrative and Breathworks-accredited mindfulness teacher with a background as a lecturer/researcher in gender and sexuality studies.

I currently work as Clinical Lead for Mental Health, managing and delivering counselling provision within an integrated sexual health service. I also head up a Public Health England-funded mindfulness programme for treating chemsex addiction amongst gay and bisexual men in London.

I take a creative, proactive approach to therapy, helping you find a way forwards and supporting you becoming the person you want to be and living the life you want to lead. I draw on humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor my way of working to suit your particular needs.

I view a warm, holding and collaborative therapeutic relationship as central to the work. The patterns which inform your life 'outside' will often play out in the therapy room itself so the client-therapist relationship is an ideal vehicle through which to work things through.

I work with a range of issues in particular: anxiety, depression, stress, sexuality and psychosexual issues, relationship/interpersonal issues, gender identity, chemsex addiction, long-term health conditions and chronic pain.

I see private clients in Wandsworth Town (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and Ladbroke Grove (Mondays).

Pina Patane BSc (Hons), MBACP

I am a qualified Psychotherapist and work with adults experiencing difficulties in their lives, are transitioning to another phase of life (Separation, divorce, having children, peri menopause, menopause…)

My strength lies in exploring self-awareness by acknowledging the problem and working through without judgment and with great curiosity.

I help clients work through their distress providing an environment where they feel safe to express themselves without fear of being judged.

I use nature and the wonderful outdoors as a therapy room (walking therapy and forest bathing) and work on Zoom.

My approach is Person Centred meaning the client knows themselves and it is my job to ask the correct questions to encourage the client to find the answers within.

I love what I do, and love walking and hiking in nature.

I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work withing their Code of Ethics. I receive regular clinical supervision.

I am also a Leadership Coach and work with care homes in the UK supporting leaders and managers in this highly demanding role and industry. Currently seeing clients from Wandsworth SW18, walking or online.
